Hello! If you're on this page, chances are that for some reason you want to know more about me.
I'm an avid reader, a computer programmer, and I enjoy games
I'll read anything, but my genre of choice is Fantasy. Give me elves dwarves and magic and I'm as pleased as can be. I also enjoy Science-Fiction, Biographical novels and books on programming, theoretical computer science and physics.
I'll likewise program in anything. I enjoy learning and there is never a dearth of things to learn in this field. I work at Progressive Insurance and my job regularly entails the use of various microsoft tools to manage the commission system of which I am the Subject Matter Expert. It uses asp.net, json, and MS SQL Server to determine the commission entitled to various agents all over the country for the sales they make.
Away from work I also enjoy programming. I do Macintosh and iOS programming. I've created a solitaire game and calculator for iOS as well as delved into the Metal API for OS X. A few of the projects I've done are available under the portfolio tab above.
I enjoy video games, but I'm a snob about it. I like the older timing focused games like Mario and Mega Man; I enjoyed spotting the patterns and using them to beat the tasks at hand. I enjoy a good role playing game - to me it's an interactive Fantasy or Science Fiction novel. I can also enjoy a good MMO or RTS game.
I also enjoy card and board games. There are too many good ones to list, but if you're interested I can personally recommend almost anything on Wil Wheaton's Tabletop
